“BIOMASS GUARANTEES ENERGY FOR THE FURNITURE INDUSTRY IN THE REGION OF GUARAPUAVA (PARANA)”
Whether it be for the distribution of energy or its generation, Asperbras Group operates on two fronts in the MDF furniture industry production chain.
Producing energy from biomass is part of the prescription for sustainability and environmental concerns that are usually associated with the future of the planet.
The novelty arises, in fact, when an action of this kind relates to an industrial production system that is self-sufficient in terms of its energy requirements.
This is exactly what Asperbras Group is putting into practice with the biomass plant in Guarapuava (Paraná), which will generate power to supply MDF panel plants, a material produced from wood fiber, used in the furniture industry.
Electrical energy will be produced from wood waste from furniture plants and timber from forests in the region of Guarapuava.
This industrial unit is about to be inaugurated and will process eucalyptus, pine and woodchip from plants located in the region of Guarapuava, in south central Parana.
Wood waste from local furniture plants and forests, namely branches, roots, thin logs and treetops, for example, will be used as firewood to feed the plant’s boilers, which have the capacity to generate 10 MW of power.
