Asperbras is striding forward to realize another great project throughout its half-year history, with the progress of the construction of its Certified Wood Panels industry (MDF) in Água Clara, in the eastern region of Mato Grosso do Sul state of Brazil. The project of the factory that has a mark of 63% of its works completed, since its announcement.
The implementation schedule has been rigorously fulfilled, with the civil and infrastructure facilities already completed, the mechanical assembly of the equipment in progress and the beginning of the tests signed for November 2017. The expectation for the inauguration of the first phase will happen on January 08, 2018, increasing its operating capacity by April 2018. Production capacity is 250,000 m³ per year, generating 200 direct jobs and more than 500 indirect jobs, which will have a very positive impact for the region’s economy.
It is worth mentioning that the Asperbras is investing heavily in training its professionals through preparatory courses, in partnership with the SENAI of Três Lagoas city and the prefecture Água Clara, to empower the new and future employees in disciplines such as automation, instrumentation, maintaining basic mechanics and operation of forklifts and machinery.
The production is destined for the domestic market, especially for the furniture industry, one of the main consumers of MDF, and the company already foresees an expansion of its production capacity to 460 thousand m³ / year, in a second stage.
